Well to help the forum continue being active and perhaps increase activity i deiced to open a contest.
The most active member of my choosing (don't worry i will be fair and may ask some of the mods for there opinions etc) will win

Just curious. to be a premium member what exactly you have to do? when I check donation it doesn't said that if you do donate you will receive premium member status. Is it only for those who win the event?

and consider the daily topic that I check recently, I don't feel it productive enough to participate >.<. I only answer to topic that at least would be useful and informative. That why i hoped the new topic will open up soon.

that seriously sound fishy >.>. well, anyhow due to the main web maintain right now. don't you think it a bit harder to judge who actually active? I mean sense almost everyone else is bored, they come in the forum and post and stuff. Once the main site is up again, I'm sure most of the traffic will be on the other side again.

I'm not questioning your ability to judge anything, but if I think about it. It will be rather hard to determine who really active. consider that other than post#(which those who stay here longer and post daily gain advantaged already) and you can sitting around all day replay to introduction forum "HIIII welcome" there! you got one post. I don't really mind much of who winning, I'm just curious about the system that you will be setting up.

As for the premium member, consider how this website potentially will be great in the future. \ I don't see why anyone would not wanted to donate. but at the same time, once I see the goal that donation will need to met. I'm thinking to myself that will this site be alright? I don't mind donate for the website to keep going, but when it come to thousand of dollars, if donation not met, would this site be down? It's hard for me to donate on the website when even I have doubt that we'll reach that goal.

Well the premium member account is some sort of reward to keep the site going because it does cost 1000's to operate and without donating members the site would close. This is why i strongly urge people to donate and keep the site alive.

about me saying "be extra good and i might make you one" that was a semi joke. The reason it was only semi is because if i notice a member who deserves a premium member account either that member has done something of worthiness i might make him a premium member.

The way to determine who is active is either, how long the person remains online or the number of posts/topics. Determining the most active member is not exact science though and it will require some human input. Say someone during the course of this even posts 50 posts 5 new topics and stay on like a hour a day that person will be considered active. But this does not only mean that someone who posts alot will win activity also counts the types of posts, so thus spam and thoughtless posts will not count.

What happens if we can't access the site. There are long periods of time where I can't access these forums. Is this a problem with my end, or is the server that hosts the forums going down?
