He gets all the sweets he wants, doesn't get fat, really smart, lots of money, and is a super cool detective.

I liked Light/Kira towards the beginning, but after he started killing people who might find him out...Yeah, that just wasn't cool to me anymore. Makes for a good story, but definitely not somebody I would personally want to be. xD

I would really like to have the power to kill anyone but I don't know if I'd turn to the dark side or not so I'd have to be L.

I'd have to agree with you there. Although it would be awesome to be Kira it would probably consume my soul and I'd use it for personal satisfaction. I think I'll be L also I mean he is really smart so that's one plus at least.

Kira's way of thinking about divine judgement is childish as "L" said, so as I am only a child I would be for "Kira"

I like the idea of punishing those evil...it makes the world better, at first I guess I agree with kire, but L is great though, so L.

I don't think Light is really in it to make the world better anymore.

It really seems to me that he is doing this for some much more self satisfying reason.

It does seem that way but also look at it this way. If he gets caught he can't continue his divine judgement thus he does what's necessary to keep from getting caught. That's another possibility as I see it. And isn't making the world better yourself greatly self satisfying.
